Scored a *real rarity* today
a full box in excellent shape of Geco 9MM Mauser (Not Luger) cartridges. I have never even seen any before. These are among the rarest of pistol cartredges I have ever encountered.

Tom,
So are these 9x19mm parabellum rounds just ID'd as Mauser, or something else entirely? --Dwight |
Hello - I believe Mr Anderson refers to the 9 mm Mauser Export (DWM 487). Case length is about 25 mm. Muzzle velocity is in the 1,350 fps range.

These are the 9MM Mauser Export. A neat featore is the flap of the box was originally marked 7.65, but this has been lined out and 9MM stamped above it.

I have seen one of the pistols for sale but had just spent all my money on an artillery and so had to pass. I am almost at a point where I can call the man and find out if he stil has it. There are just more guns that I want than I have money!
The cartridge is simply the .30 Mauser without the bottleneck. Just think of the change from 7.65 Luger to 9mm. Steve Richards |
Hi,
The 9mm mauser is indeed 9 x 25mm and very, very rare. Tom, excellent buy. Chance of some photos? |
