K.M. Fraud for sale?

while doing some research on my pistol, I noticed a "Collector" site selling what they claim is a K.M. Luger. They even reference the book "The Dutch Luger" to back up their $8500 price tag. I called them and informed them that according to the book they reference, no K.M. Lugers were produced with 2xxx serial #'s, and especially in 1937. Additionally, it would have a DWM toggle, not a Mauser. They didn't want to hear it, and still have the gun for sale. See for yourself at

Davevid, See pages 96 and 99, The Dutch Luger, by Martens & de Vries, allowing for the "v" suffix.

See this 1937 banner Dutch for sale with Simpons LTD...this one is not "K.M." stamped...

Also...do a search for "Dutch Mauser" in the LF's search function and you will see some more...

Pete, I understand the V banner on German Issued Lugers for the war. Stiill, according to the book, there were only 2 issues in 1930 that had the K.M. Stamp. The higest serial # in that issue was 1786. There was also a second type of KM stamp intended for the Dutch Marines, these would have been in 1929 and 1930 and the highest serial # n that issue was 1249. These would have had the KM mark over the chamber, and no Luger of this issue with a KM mark has been found. All the weapons had DWM toggles. Based on the information in the book, I believe that there were no K.M. Stamped Lugers after 1930 and certainly no Mauser Toggled Lugers manufactured in 1937would have a K.M. Stamp, especially since it ended up with the German forces, and not in the Dutch Royal Navy in the East Indies.

Earlier post was intended for drbuster, sorry Pete.

I guess the "KM" stamping is the issue here. That being the case, Davevid, you are correct until someone out there comes up with one. If they do, it may be "boosted"!
