Just received this interesting MAUSEROL bottle. It still contains the original oil. Newer seen before this kind of Mauser accessory.
An interesting add-on for the Mauser collection.

A very intriguing accessory. I presume here that it was a commercial item, do you know from what era it dates? Was it a general retail item, or was it supplied with some particular Mauser firearm? Any guess as to what particular kind of oil it might be? weight?

This oil bottle is commercial as dimostrated by the "Gun-Oil" translation several languages. I can imagine that it was a general retail item but I have no idea about the era.
I hope some Luger forum friends can add some more information about this item.

My gut feeling says early 1930s, but could very well be earlier.
