Question for Hakan! triggerpull.....
 

Hakan, it is obivious that you have spent many hours refining P.08 triggers...my question is: (after the parts are blueprinted),when you are reducing trigger pull, do you put in a lighter trigger return spring.....or a lighter sear bar return spring, to help lighten the weight of the trigger pull? Also do you use set screws for reducing takeup and overtravel or is this all too risky? till....later.....G.T.

No I never put in any lighter searbar return spring but i do alter the strength of the original sear bar spring.

Easaly done with a few strokes with a hammer.


I have changed triggersprings a few times but that is most often when there is a none original triggerspring in the gun.


The weight of the triggerpull is adjusted by the following factors.

1. sear engagment ( adjusted at the sheetmetal piece on the trigger)

2. sear bar return spring.

3. trigger spring.


I NEVER USE ligthend firingpin springs, there is no use for it as the harder the firingpin spring is the more distinct the triggerpull gets.


I don't use set screws, cause if the triggerpull is correctly adjusted the trigger will stop at the frame.

And that is very good cause a screw can move, but the frame will always stay where it is.


Sometimes I change the trigger pin, but i really try to avoid it as its a lot of work.

But if the play is to much in the triggerpin it might be necesarry.
