My first Spring job

I finally did a detailed strip of my shooter luger in order to put in some new Wolff springs. Just to be certain, is this picture right? The new one seems significantly longer than the old one. I suppose if it was the original, that would explain things. The old recoil spring was a bit shorter too.

Not fun, but I did get it put back in in less than 30min.

The Wolff springs are definitely longer and stronger. If you still have both eyes and no bloody fingers you did good!

Hugh, I thought him getting it done in 30 minutes was like an Olympic record for a first timer! I've only done it 3 or 4 times and I make sure I wear safety glasses! :D

Just to clarify, once I got the spring wound onto the guide rod, it took me 30 to get it into the handle and hooked. Funny you should mention goggles. As I put the spring on the rod, it occured to me, this would be a good time to go get my goggles. The only casualty was a small cut on my right ring finger. I won't be in any big hurry to do it again.
