Help repairing 06 Navy disfigurement.

Looked at a super nice 06 that had the stock lug neatly ground off, if such a disfigurement can be called 'neat'........... I asked some questions about this gun last week or so, now that I am buying, I need to get serious about someone to do a correct repair job of this diasster. The is a 98% match mag gun, w/bright shiney bore. Shows 95% straw color also. Pete E. Suggested a fellow in Mo (?), Art (?).........how do I make contact?????? Does any one have any other comment???????

PJ,

I just sent you an email with Art Buchanan's email address. He lives in Missouri near the Illinois border.

hmmm, last thing I heard was Art was "more" than retired and prefered not to do things like this, as I hoped he'd do a 'baby" for me :D. Kind of tough for you to nominate him Pete ;)

Mr Heck, I recommend Bill Adair @www.restoration-gunsmith.com. He has taken on some difficult work for me and I have been very impressed.
Good Luck, Craig

Pete et al, Art B. moved to Kirksville, MO. and gave up his well equipted shop in Greentop, so is only doing limited type work. I know that Gale Morgan in Ca. could do the job perfectly, if you can afford the price. You might also want to check with John Martz, if he's not to busy at the moment. TH
