Hugh Clark The Magnificient

Hugh Clark a member of this board recently fitted a pair of Nil Grips to my 1937 Luger S/42. Without having to send my Luger to him, he was able to produce a perfect fit, not close or maybe BUT pure perfect. He is man of his word and extremely reasonable with his charge. He is a master craftsman! Thanks to him and this board for providing the information to find him! Thanks to all the great people here!

I heard that a guy once asked Hugh to see a sample of his work. Hugh went in and came out with a 2X4. The guy said" That looks like a 2X4!" Hugh smiled and said "I know... It used to be round." ;)

:roflmao:

And I'll add that Hugh doesn't just work on Luger grips. I recently sent him a pair of grips from my pre-Woodsman and they came back in record time looking great!

Very nice guy and a great craftsman.

pre woodsman! I got one from Glen, we are going shooting with it if I can. :)

Ed, I'm sure yours is probaly a more pristine speciman than mine. Mine was from the estate of a guy who carried it a lot and it reflects the use. It is very accurate, however. It has the conversion for hi-vel ammo (wish I had the original parts!) and is one of my sentimental favorites.

Enjoy. :)

I've heard rumors the Hugh doesn't do any of his own the work.
Been told that he uses slave armadillo labor! ;)

His shop foreman.

Contrary to what David & Ron would have you believe, I DO NOT keep my workers penned up when not laboring on grips!:nono:

In fact they are treated very well as evidenced by this photo of the REAL shop foreman during last Christmas Holidays!

You know if you guys keep tooting Hugh's horn.....he might have to raise his prices.

I will say that he's the best, no only as a craftsman, but as a real stand-up guy!
