Lowest Price for Shooter in Good Condition?
A couple of years ago I bought a mix and match 9mm in good condition for $450. Is it possible to buy something similar today at that price? Looking at one of the auction sites, I didn't notice anything for less than $600-800.
Thanks, Vboy |
They are out there, but getting hard to find at that price.

I bought mine less than a year ago for that price. Similar gun, mix and match 9mm in really good condition for $450. Hard to find a deal on the auction sites sometimes. I seem to have better luck at gunshows and prowling gun and pawn shops.

My least expensive Luger is a mismatched, scrubbed Bulgarian for $250 + a MAS D... :)
I have another one, my first - bought last year - an all matching 1939 42 code for $500 even. I don't expect to find any more like that for the same price though. |
Prices have been going up over the past few years. Deals can be found but they are harder. I have noticed at gunshows and pawnshops that those selling them price them very high just because they are a luger. I have seen many matching reblued lugers that were being passed off as original and double what they were worth. You just must be very patient.

anything less than $600 is few and far between, and a $600 shooter will have something wrong with it. Reblue, pitting, mismatched major parts, etc.
The $450 or $550 gun is getting harder to find. Not that it doesn't happen, $600 is a lot for most "average' pistols, so you offer $500 to a widow or guy at a yard sale and he might give you $75.00 back in change. :) Ed |
Ed I want to live by you if there are lugers at yard sales.
