Pistol Range

Lincoln, NE does not have a range that allows 9mm, only .22 and .38. Omaha, 55 miles away is the nearest. Just an observation, the state capitol in NE wow! What has been your experience regarding the availability of pistol ranges?

We do OK here. The one I like to frequent is about 15miles away. Indoor range 100ft. Will support most calibre's and even some rifle (.17 and .22).
Another is a bit closer, also indoor, but shorter and no rifles. You can do archery there also. Lastly, we have the Port Malabar Rifle and Pistol Club. Its also in the 15 mile radius, but it is a full facility range. There is a range for every sort of firearm. Pistol, a variety of shotgun, 100 and 200yd rifle and yes a 600yd! You have to be qualified by one of the rifle instructors to shoot that one though. They also do IDPA, IPSC once a month. Alot of other matches occur here also. Its really a great place and I am fortunate to have it nearby.

Mine is about 15 miiles away with a 100 yard out door range with covered firing points and ya can shoot pretty much whatever ya want rifel or pistol.

Portland, Oregon has three pistol ranges that I know of. The Place to Shoot, Johnson Creek Pistol Club and the Clackamas County Sheriffs range. We also have at least two rifle ranges (private) and one trap & skeeet range fairly close. There is also one private range that is invited membership only.

Doesn't make sense to allow .38s and not 9mms.

They claim the 9mm noise and damage to metal backstops over the .38.
