I have seen the error # 80004005 also. This is a MS error code, indicating that the site is responding, but it is not able to approach the data base.
Might be of help.

The site is responding again, and working fine. (04:00am).

At 6:15AM I got the same message:
Microsoft OLE DB Provider for ODBC Drivers error '80004005,

but at 6:33AM the site came up normally. Could be intermittent.

I've seen this happen occasionally during the last couple of weeks. When I've come back to the site after a few minutes it works just fine.
