ww2 nazi rework?

I am looking at a luger to buy, it has a waffenampt mag. the upper is not matched to the lower and the chamber date is 1916 dwm toggle. it has imperial marks on the right reciever side. and the bbl is original to the gun, the bbl has a dwe on it. Making it an early german rework third reich, I think. it is 9mm blueing is original an non import and finish is 80 to 85% no pitting or rust. very good shooter, but asking 700 for it. can any one tell me a little about the nazi reworks?

What are you referring to as a "dwe"?

Dwight, droop wing eagle stamp

the seller is telling me it is a german rework of the third reich, becasue of the DWE, is this correct? would this account for the mismatch?

Edwood,

By itself, the droop eagle on the barrel is interesting but insufficient to draw any conclusion. The upper/lower mismatch is a concern. It would take hands-on examination--or some specific detailed photos--to determine what is really represented here.

A detailed description of all the markings on the gun--serial numbers included---would be helpful, but would not take the place of the photographic analysis.

as soon as I recieve it I will post photos, I was offered a 1915 all matching for the same price but the difference is that it has some pitting through out the gun and less finish.
