With your back log of 8-10 months (probably varies month by month), is there a chance a customer could leave a nominal deposit (say $ 100 or so) to reserve a place in your back log ? This would allow folks to hold on to their shooters (and enjoy them...) until their place comes up in your production que...

Good idea, Pete. Under those conditions I could part with my shooter for the time required to restore it.

The deposit is a good idea that I will do for folks. I have already done deposits for a place in line for several of my clients.

I have heard fellows rant & rave about your work and your prices...but hesitate to give up a gun for that long...

Figured the advance money-deposit might be more to some folk's liking...
