Baden-Wurttemberg Police issued Walther PP
A couple months ago I got a heck of a deal on a used Walther PP. I aquired this little pistol to add to my police handgun collection because it had some police markings on it, consisting of a shield with three stacked lions on the right frame, and an issue number on the front gripstrap. A little research identified the "stacked lion crest/shield" marking as originating from the German state of Baden-Wurttemberg.
Not that old a gun, probably from 1974 made in Ulm West Germany. I also got a ratty Walther PP box, finger rest mag and flat base mag, funky little aluminum cleaning rod that ain't all there. I have been quite impressed with this little 7.65 pistol. An excellent and reliable shooter that keeps burning up all the .32 auto I can find. I figure a nice little pistol like this one probably deserves an original holster. Where can I buy an original holster for a German police issued PP. Thanx, Stevie. |
Would like to see the marking if you can post a pic.

Stevie,
I see these postwar police holsters for sale on ebay from time to time. You might also try one of the on-line surplus dealers. I hope this helps. |
Stevie, I have several different types of these post war police trade in holsters in stock from $15 to $25. See my PM for details. TH

Stevie,
Check in at the "sister" website P38 & Walther forums at http://www.p38forum.com for additional discussion and a wealth of knowledge on those little pistols. Regards, Fritz. |
Hey minigun, I have just moved to the country and don't have the ability to post pics now(I also need my wifes expertise to post pics). If you do a google search of Baden Wurttemburg, the state website has a cool pic of the state crest. The pistols crest is much simplified, but consists of 3 stick lions, stacked 3 tall facing left inside a shield. The shield is surrounded by a circle. The whole mark is only about a quarter inch in diameter. Online I saw another PP with a similiar ownership mark that cosisted of a castle inside a small circled shield(don't know what that is).
I think I'm going to get me one of Lugerdocs holsters, but going to have to wait until after Chistmas, because I have been spending money like it is going out of style. Thanx, Guys. |
