S/42 Books?

Hello,
I'm not sure if this is the right sub-forum, so feel free to move this thread. I posted some pictures my '37 S/42, and there has been some great analysis by the other members of this forum. I would like to get a book for some more information. Specifically, I'm looking for something more about the pre-WWII Lugers, especially if it has any info on the methods and processes used by the factories. I'm less interested in a listing of all of the one of a kind variations, and more of an overview. All I have right now is a "Pocket Guide to Lugers" or something like that, so pretty much anything would be an improvement.
Thanks for the help,
Turner

Turner,

You might want to buy Jan Still's book on Weimar lugers...you can buy directly from the author at this web site :

http://stillsbooks.com/

It is the best reference on Weimar and early Nazi lugers...but I do not think you will find any factory manufacturing process info...not sure if any book readily available has that...

Hi,

The most detailed production related info I found was in Goertz's 'Die Pistole 08'. This book is only available in the German language, however.

If you want to get one on your 1937 though, allthough "pre"-ww2, you want Third Reich Lugers by Jan Still, as Weimar doesn't cover that model / years.
