Last Canoe trip
This was on the Elk river in Tenn about a week ago. Will be going again in December. Always have room for a few more to go.

Great shots RK, looks like a grand time.

Makes me wistful of the days of my youth when I went down through the rivers and swamps of central Georgia to the sea.

Really, the deal with it is to work out a balance of pain killers and Jack Daniels without losing functionality. I've had back surgery, crushed by a Hummer, and last time I had an EKG they wouldn't let me leave until I convinced them that my heart beat was actually a rhythm, you just had to fill in the gaps. I refuse to die at home. Ken and I have already agreed not to cancel the trip if one of us kicks off, sort of like Lonesome Dove. We'll just float whoever dies first on down the river.

Thank you RK. I always enjoy your postings and especially your photos. There is nothing more enjoyable than being next to nature even with all the pestilence involved. Somtimes I walk into the woods and just set for hours enjoying the quietness and wildlife. One time I woke up while sleeping under a big white oak and the uglyess spider was hanging off the brim of my ballcap. It was a BIG one! I jumped up, threw him on the ground and shot him with a single barrel 12 Ga. The sun was still warm so I went back to sleep. As the temperature began to drop I woke up and walked back home.

RK,
By "Last Canoe Trip", do you mean the last one you took? I certainly hope you don't mean the last one you're going to take. RS |
