"G" DATE LUGER...I know little about Lugers so I'll post this for your reference and you can beat it up or advise me of what to look for...I stripped it down and it matches as far as all numbered parts (magazine does not match and grips are not matched)...Serial number 7356a.

All comments/suggestions/criticisms & witticisms are welcome and thanks for taking time to look.

Ed thats a very nice early G date luger going by the receiver proofs

The grips should be numbered to the gun though, correct??? Ed

Hi Ed. I'm guessing your Luger has a serial number of 7356a. The "a" is found on the front of the frame just below the number "7356". This being the case, the grips should be numbered with a "56". Most of the early G-Dates have numbered grips, but the later G-Dates are not numbered. Unfortunately, your have an early G-Date.

Otherwise, nice pistol!!
