P38 Question
First let me say I know nothing about Lugers, with that out of the way I will now ask some stupid questions.
Is a P38 a Luger? I have a K98 with Nazi markings and would like a Luger with Nazi markings (mostly just to have, but still would like it to be functional)I noticed century has A like new P38 for 599.87 in 9mm (is this the caliber the Germans used). Thanks for any guidance you can offer. Tim |
Re: P38 Question
Firstly, welcome to the Luger Forum Tim. To answer your questions, No a P.38 is NOT a Luger. The P.38 was made by Walther and adopted by the Germans are their official sidearm in 1938 (hence the P.38) to replace the P.08 Luger, manufactured by DWM and others, and adopted in 1908.
Third Reich era Lugers can be had both in collector grade as well as shooter grade, please have a look in our classifieds, as often there are some in there. 9mm was the official caliber used by the German military for both the Luger and the P.38. Please take time to read the information provided in the sections of this web site (www.lugerforum.com) you will learn much about Lugers. If it's P.38s you are really after, may I suggest you hop over to our sister web site (www.p38forum.com) for help and info on P.38s. Dok (Webmaster) |
Question, re:Broomhandle Mauser
Doc, is there a site that deals with Mauser Broomhandles?

Re: Question, re:Broomhandle Mauser
Yes there is, but it isn't nearly as comprehensive as this one. May I suggest that you give Kyrie (our resident "Broomie") a shout at kyrieellis@aol.com> and he will be able to direct you.
