Now that is a classy looking artillery. I like that one.

John Sabato 10-11-2005 02:48 PM

I am not much on engraving,... but I sure like the grips.

mauro 10-11-2005 04:46 PM

Really interesting,
Thank you Pete.

No matter how high class the coiture you put on a tart, you still have a dressed up tart.

I can only afford pop tarts!!

Ron Smith 10-11-2005 08:35 PM

Hey, I was in the Navy. I'm a Tart kinda guy!

Pete Ebbink 10-11-2005 09:28 PM

This is from Tom A....who is known to have bought a M1903 Colt with pornographic (i.e. or should I say...artistic...) engravings all over it...

This gun was the highlight for quite a few fellows at the last SE NAPCA event in Chattanooga, TN...:D

Big Norm 10-11-2005 09:41 PM

Tom,
Dittos! Big Norm

Pete,
Yah, but it was done to a M1903 Colt and not an artillery Luger. But I would have to...err... examine the specimen first before I would chastise some classic art work.

Pete Ebbink 10-11-2005 09:57 PM

Hi Norm,

Contact Tom Beasley...he took many fine photos of Tom Armstrong's Colt...

Big Norm 10-12-2005 12:41 AM

Pete,
Tom Beasley??? Wasn't he an actor??? I thought he died. Maybe he has a telephoto lense on his camera and can take pictures from heaven. Good actor though.

Hello to all
I love lp08 but not such, so I would simply say it is a nice work!!
:bigbye:

Pete Ebbink 10-12-2005 11:24 AM

Norm,

I sent you Tom B's e-mail address through regular email...

Pete et al,

The porno-pistol has provenance. It was King Farouk of Egypt's gun. And it's interest is in its previous ownership and the extent/quality of the erotica depicted.

Years ago during a visit to the Miami area, I saw a whole show case of "pimp" guns (nickel plated or engraved) at Tamiami Distributors, some with porno engraving. They said that these were good sellers to their Latino customers. TH

Heinz 10-13-2005 08:00 PM

Tom Heller, that was really cold!! :-)

Lugerdoc 10-14-2005 09:54 AM

Heinz, Sorry no ethnic slur intended. Just reporting the conversation. Perhaps the taste of Cuban refugees has changed since the 1960s. I also recall, if I wanted a locked in sale at the old LA "Great Western Show", I better know how to say "Trenta e Ochco Superba con Marka de Colt". TH

Heinz 10-14-2005 08:28 PM

No slur taken Tom, I was referring to Tom A's pricey prono pocket model being lumped with the "Saturday night specials"
