BEWARE AA seller

Seller goes by "abie". I recently purchased a 1913 Sauer rig from him. In the photos it appeared to be nearly a pristine "vet" rig. He stated "no rust or pitting". When I received it the slide was pitted, the bottom of the right grip was completely chipped away. The overall condition was a blue worn 60%. The holster was crumbling and the stitching was rotten.

I returned it for a refund on 9/23. He received it 9/26. When I inquired about my refund on 10/4. He said that he hadn't inspected it yet.

Yesterday I received a negative feedback on AA from him. Stating that I tried to renig on the deal after the auction was closed. Although, he also states that I bought the pistol and returned it???

It took 4 requests from me. And 5 days just to get him to respond to my requests for an address to send the payment to.

This guy is a loser. If you buy anything from him. Don't try to return it.

Haven't heard from him about my refund. Waiting for a response from AA.

This is the first time that I have had any problems also. Most of the deals I have done through AA have been very good. And they are usually good about resolving these things. I had a problem a few months ago, but they helped me. Turned out to be just a mutual misunderstanding.

The seller and I are on very good terms since then. And I have made another purchase from him.

Keeping my fingers crossed

Reply from "abie" via Auction Arms. :-D

"#1 - I already told Auction Arms that I had no problem with them changing your feedback to Neutral AND changing the wording as they see fit (to make you happy). #2 - Your refund was already mailed to you via Certified Mail. #3 - Auction Arms received all this information two (2) days ago. #4 - I received your E-mail AFTER the Auction closed. #5 - Nobody lied about YOU. #6 - There were no claims about or description of the holster in the listing AND you didn't ask any questions about the holster. #7 - The slide is not pitted. #8 - DO NOT contact me again."

The guy has a real problem with the truth...

Clint,

He had 16 positives and no negatives, but I think this is the first time anyone has ever returned anything.

It'll be interesting to see if he re-lists the gun on AA or another site and see how he describes it.

Hi Jerry,
That's it. In the second photo down you can see some blurred dark blue spots on the forward left side of the slide. In reality that is a cluster of fine pepper pitting. And on the forward half of the slide, the blue is faded. It appears that he has touched up the photo. He has also photographed it in the shade, so that the sun would'nt high light the faded blue or any touch ups. And was careful to keep the chipped grip in a shadow and never shows a full right side view.

He now mentions the chipped grip, but still doesn't mention that the holster is coming apart. "Can only see it if pistol is turned upside down??" I didn't have to turn it upside down.

His first disciption:
A Sauer & Son Model 1913 in .32 auto. I believe this is a SECOND SERIES. This is a true WWII bring back gun. The GI that brought it back just passed away. It has been in his family since WWII. It comes with the original holster and 2 magazines. Both magazines function fine. There is also a half box of old factory ammo. The bore is exceptional. There is some minor finish wear but no rust and no pitting. There is a 1 inch tear on the holster where it flaps over. I do not buy or sell many guns so I do not have much feedback here. Go to EBAY and check "JCORCORAN118" for hundreds of positive feedbacks. Best of all this will sell with NO RESERVE. The High Bidder takes it home. Buyer pays $25.00 shipping. Insurance is optional. NO RESERVE. Signed in ink FFL needed.

He had it relisted before I ever heard from AA Admin. or him.

Ron
