WWI holster

Besides being a new luger owner I'm also the impatient sort, so I purchased a repro-WWI luger holster while I wait for an original to come by way (at a price I'm willing to pay).

Will work quite nicely for taking my '16 DWM to and from the range, but not coming with an 'instruction' manual I'm at a loss at how to deal with the internal strap where the gun barrel rest.

Should that strap be ahead or behind or directly on that strap? I'm guessing the latter, to keep it from 'dropping' to the bottom of the holster.

Thanks for helping a rookie.

It does not keep it ( the gun ) from 'drooping' to the bottom....it is too facilitate removing the gun from the holster

Tony,

When you insert the pistol into the holster. The pull strap should be under the front of the frame. Between the barrel and trigger guard. When you pull the strap it should lift the pistol.
