Original question
I was thinking about one Artillerie/holster resised in Weimar area but ...in 1911 no luger arti. so :
The stamp maker and year is a bogus/fake ? http://cgi.ebay.com/GERMAN-LUGER-HOL...QQcmdZViewItem Any comment ?? |
The holster is legitimate; converted for police use sometime after WW1. You can see the stitching holes where the roller buckle was located.
Walter notes in his book that the maker had been observed on holsters 1915-1918; I wouldn't discount 1911 though. SteveM |
Patrice, I think it started out life as a P08 holster. In the full holster photo, I think I can see the stitching holes where the buckle strap came up from the lower left.
It's a shame to see such a rare holster "coppered" like that. |
Thanks Geo and , Steve I've don't see the stitching holes where the roller buckle was located on my PC

Patrice, Steve and George are entirely correct. This started life as an Army. There is an "enlarge the Photo" feature on eBay above the photo, try clicking on the photo of the front of the holster. The stitching holes that held on the roller buckle are plainly evident. Actually a nice looking holster but it would be much more valuble in the Army configuration...Jerry Burney
