I hate to be a crybaby - - -
- - - and a whiner, but I must. I'm pretty new here and have found much to be useful in the discussions - and even found someone to sell me something I wanted.
B U T The technical information section is seriously flawed. It has caused me a great deal of frustration trying to figure it out. In particular, the parts drawing and the parts list do not match! There are different numbers of parts and the numbers don't generally match or point to the right things. Certainly one of you must have a better set hiding somewhere!? :grr: |
Ted, I see you life in So. Cal., I live in the high desert area north of Lancaster about 2 hours....I may not have a better set of prints but I bet I can talk you through it....if you want you can send me your phone number and a good time to call, we'll work it out....you can use the PM if you wish.

anyone with a better set of images and parts lists is welcome to send them to me for posting in place of what is there now...
I would love for someone who has the time and a good camera to do a sequence of the steps for disassembly and reassembly along the lines of the online instructions provided by surplusrifle.com... it would be a great addition to Lugerforum.com and your byline would be posted with it... |

Interestingly, "its even wierder than that", and the plot thickens. I found a recommendation to www.marstar.ca. They indeed have a diagram and some takedown instructions. Their instructions per their own statement are "keyed to the numbers on the diagram". But their diagram has NO NUMBERS AT ALL! So I extracted (plagiarized) all their words and pictures, and extracted (plagiarized) your lugerforum diagram and put it all together in an updated and edited document that all makes sense and matches numbers to parts and nomenclature. I'll provide a PDF of it if I want. If you're nervous, somebody can call marstar and ask them if it is OK. Heck, they'll probably want a copy. |
