install that spring into the little bitty curved part on the hold open device? Going nuts! (Not talking about installing the hold open into the gun, but just the spring part.)

Hairy, I had the same problem, that's a small hole there. I finally just held it in place and gently squeezed it in using a pair of small vise grips, their jaws close differently than a regular pliers. Maybe I just got lucky but it worked.

Herb, I agree the US made repros aren't very good and too brittle. I have some European (DDR) made ones that are more like the originals @$25 each or 3 for $65 postpaid. I generally start them into HO with hammer tap, line front end up with top of HO and squeeze them on with my mini vise. Th
