I think misguided at best. WWII Kriegsmarine pistols had 4" barrels. A surviving 6" would probably have an Imperial holster although this could be one made up in a ships armory. But I think not. Tom A and Jerry should be back soon and offer expert advice

Mein Gott in Himmell! What will people think of next? This abomanation is not German, certainly not Kreigsmarine and has never seen Military service or acceptance. What was issued to the German Military, while not necessarily standard due to wartime captures, was at least kept to some sort of standard and this is NOT it. Maybe French or? Who knows...Might be for some pistol. Jerry Burney

Guys,

It kinda reminds me of a Russkie Nagant holster with the external loops for a rod, but it is too long. Can guarantee you, however, that it was NEVER a KM accepted piece.
