First Luger
 

Picked up my first Luger as more or less an impulse buy. I am more of a gun collector then a Luger collector (I know there's you hardcore luger guys out there )


Not much I can tell about it. 1936 Stamped before the barrel , S/42 on toggle lock. All matching except for from of the frame 95% blue (can't tell if its reblued neither could the seller)no pitting, shiny bore. 3 proofmarks on it look like eagles on the side of frame.1 eagle under barrel, no-import marks. Nice wood grips. non-matching magazine. All I can figure out is it's a 1936 Mauser . Can anyone tell me what else to look for ? Or shed anymore light on the gun ? Market Value ?
