Internal DWM Factory Stock

1 Attachment(s)
When I was visiting a collector in Europe, he showed me this special stock which fascinated my interest. Apparently, it was a stock used inside the DWM factory to quickly fire pistols off the rack without wasting time attaching a proper stock. The stock connects with a flat hook behind the laynard loop and meets the contour of the rear gripstrap of the pistol.

Can anybody guess when this stock was probably used in the factory, and how much would it be worth?

Cheers,
Albert

Hi Albert,

Interesting piece. I think that any guess at either value or age would be pure speculation.

If real, I'd expect it to be quite early and possibly used to testfire Parabellum pistols without stock lug.

I remember that I once read that after 1918 some leftover artillery stocks were used at the factories to testfire P08-pattern pistols.

A very interesting stock Albert... As a One-of-a-Kind... it would be a very hard item to place a value on...

Hi Albert,

The wood grain does not appear to be walnut...which I think was being used on the LP-08 and P-04 stocks at the period-correct time.

My WAG is that this was not a factory tool...
