Is this artillery stock legit?
Owner is a son of a gunsmith who claims it was brought back right after WWII, along with a whole bunch of other stuff, including an anti-aircraft gun! There are no serial numbers or proof marks reported. There are no holes in the stock which you would expect if a holster were mounted at one time. Is it possible that this was for commercial use? Or is it a repro. I do not have possession of it so WYSIWYG.

It is a modern reproduction. Look at the grain in the wood, it's not walnut.

Owner is a son of a gunsmith who claims blah blah blah...Liar liar pants on fire! This is your typical repro stock like George says. It does not even come close to an original. Worth say, $150.00 if a person wanted it for something. An original will go for $500.00 and up. Jerry Burney
