Commercial Luger Holster

Commercial luger holster - no markings. The undersides of the buttons are marked very close to the Netherlands pouch in Bender's book, page 385. Only exception is a reverse R and normal G on one side. Any ideas where this came from?

Bill, I can't say for sure but it looks to have French charecteristics to me. Jerry Burney

Bill, The reversed "R" sounds a lot like the Cyrilic alphabet (Russia, Serbia, Bulgaria, etc). TH

Hi Bill,

I really like your holster...it's a beauty !

If you have no place in your collection, I would love to buy it for mine.

The type of snap (back side) you describe is typically mated with the type of snap front shown on Bender's page 384...first thought to be only on Dutch holsters, but have been known on German holsters as well.

The snap vendor/supplier probably sold all over Europe...just a WAG.

I have a WWII German shoulder holster with this "Dutch" style snap as well...

Hi Bill,

Here are some photos of mine...holds a Luger or a P-38 extremely well.

It has a nice imprint of a P-08 toggle knob on the inside of the pouch. Gun shown is my '41 byf with British proofs :
