Holsters and Shoulder Stocks of the World

Anthony Vanderlinden has written-produced a new volume on not only shoulder stocked pistols and holsters but almost any other holster you can imagine.202 Pages, color cover with black and white interior photo's. Beautiful clear photography. His excellently illustrated-photographed book is a must have for the serious collector for more than several reasons.
As a reference work it is heads and shoulders above any other I have encountered, including Eugene Benders Military Holsters. It is laid out very well with an alphabetical listing. Anthony has done exhaustive research and shows holsters seldom seen in any referance work. Not only that but he has done what I wish many other Authors had, he shows the front AND the back. The back of a holster is many times more important than the front and he has recognized this deficiency. He also shows many closeups of markings, leather stampings as well as ink.He shows some interesting comparisons too, when a holster was made, early, late or post 1945.
The volume is also unique in that he shows many pistols along with holsters. Mostly the very unusual. He also shows many interesting period photograps of Soldiers with holsters he talks about in the text. There are many holsters in the volume I have never laid eyes on!
I have very little to criticize and much to praise. One thing, I would have liked to see is what collection this holster came from but I understand in this day and age where this might not be wise...

I have no interest in this book other than I bought a copy and am extreamly delighted to have it in my reference library. I think you would be pleased with a copy as well. One of the finest books I have bought in some time. Decently priced too.

Guys,

A word of caution...

The order form on the web site is not a secure one...so I would suggest printing out the form and mailing it in...not sending it electronically...since it asks for CC information...

I have been waiting for my copy. I am suppsosed to receive a free copy since I provided holsters for the book.

Alas, since mine is a free copy, it looks like it is going to be one of the last ones sent.
