Help with parts - not Luger

I've been offered a nice Steyr Pieper 08 semi auto virtually for free, but it has a broken firing pin.

In line with my self imposed 'if it doesn't work, it doesn't come in the house' policy, (to avoid increasing the pile of 'useful' items I tend to collect), I'd really like to find one.

Numrich doesn't have one, can anyone help or point me in the right direction ?

Many thanks, Stu

Try Sarco... any gunsmith worth the title should be able to make you one...

See if you can find another owner and check to see how complex the part is. Take photos if you can.

Thanks John, I was racking my brains for the usual companies and forgot Sarco, going over there now.

I believe the cost involved in getting one made is way over the price of the gun, so I'll scrounge around for a few days before I decide.

Nope nothing at Sarco :(

Do you have the broken parts? if so perhaps I can help.

Much appreciate the offer.

unfortunately I only have the front portion. I believe it may have fractured just in front of the sear notch and the spring and rear portion have gone awol.

I may splash out at Numrich and get a parts diagram to see how big the problem is.

If you can't find a new firing pin. I will take the gun I collect all guns even the ones that do not work. How much is virtually free??

Hi Steve. Current pricing is somewhere between a case of beer and $50 bucks. Prior to the firing pin debacle I'd have put it around $180. Nice gun in general.

I'll try to spend some time this weekend on the hunt.
