Nice pistol case Pete. Any thoughts on the lack of conversion to belt loops on the back?

Pete Ebbink 06-26-2005 08:51 PM

Hi Heinz,

Although I have not seen one in person, I have seen photos of removable belt loops that adapt to the arty block on the back to a belt wear.

See Bender's large holster book on page 235.

I have also seen these cut-down arty holster with and without a closure sutd added...my other one has the stud added...this one does not.

Pete, Beautiful example. The Germans did indeed make a couple of belt loops to slip into the stock block to facilitate belt wear. This stock block does not look as though they were employed on this holster. Usually you would see some wear on the stock block. Nice one Pete! Jerry

very nice, but not a swiss? That should be at my house!

Hey, Jerry can make those back door thingies for the holster, I've seen some at his house! ;)

Hi Ed,

As soon as you round-up an equally nice bit of Swiss leather, we can swap, and this one can be yours...no hurry...!

Maybe at the November 2005 Reno gun show...? I will set it aside for you...

Hi Ed,

Take a look at the photo I posted in the Swiss section...titled "Cleaning Time"...

A holster like the one in the 10 o'clock position would do just fine...dated either 1939 or 1940...it's a M1929 Bern luger I am trying to find the dated holster for...

Edward Tinker 06-27-2005 08:07 PM

I'll try, but don't hold yer breath ;) if you can't find one, then.... :(
