Had these out for a regular dusting/cleaning...

Swiss luger holsters (starting at 12 o'clock and CW rotation) are :

* 1904 Dated
* Undated commercial
* 1919 Dated
* 1920 Dated
* 1941 Dated (for M1929)

Lovely set of Swiss holsters.

The undated Commercial looks identical to the M1900 at the top. I presume the reason you call it a Commercial is because it is undated, military contract holsters being dated?

The undated commercial has non-standard snaps on the shoulder strap where they attach to the holster and the two belt loops are sewn in place and not rivoted. No swiss cross stamping on the leather, as well. which I suspect is a Swiss military acceptance stamping. The dark chocolate brown color is non-standard as well...

Ed, what is the stamp saying on your holster?

That stamp may be "Meltonian", it might be the way the picture was made but it looks too brown to me, sorry but that is how I see this one, it has no natural leather look.

Hi Steve,

I think the current generation of older Swiss luger buffs have been selling off their holsters and guns.

3 years ago I did not see a lot of Swiss leather for sale and what was for sale was pretty ratty looking. That changed about a year or so ago...and I have been lucky to be in the right place with cash...several times.

2 of the 5 were purchased States-side...3 of the 5 came from CH and Europe...
