Late Production Mauser lugers?
I am curious about the groups opinion on the later production (clones?) Mauser Lugers? I've seen a couple in both 9mm and .30 at prices in the $1200.00 range for the six inch barrels? Many thanks all, Monte

Re: Late Production Mauser lugers?
Hello Monte,
the Mauser parabellum made from 1969 (29/70 model) to 1985 (Arty commemorative model) are the last true Parabellum. Mauser purchased from Bern Arsenal Factory the 1929 model production package and also Mauser had the original P08 charts which August Weiss had hidden from the French (1947). Mr. Weiss was Luger's assistant at DWM and in charge of Luger production at Mauser until 1947. He was contacted by Mr. Gminder, Mauser managing director, during the last Parabellum production. You can found the last commemorative model (carabine, artillery...) at the Haslberger armoury. http://www.waffen-haslberger.de/ Mauro |
