Gunbroker Nickled Erfurt
I don't think this one has been discussed before. If it has, please bear with me.
There is a nickled Erfurt on gunbroker I thought I might bid on. In doing a little research, I discovered it was offered at least once a week ago (maybe more often) with the same starting bid of $350. It was bid up to $600 plus and the auction closed with "reserve not met. I don't know much about these things, but from what I can tell from the experts here, the gun in this condition isn't currently worth more than about $600. Am I wrong, or is the seller being unrealistic? http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/Vie...?Item=32470968 |
It is mis-matched and nickled. She shoulda snapped up the $600.

Carolina Girl has always seemed to be a fairly reasonable person, so I thought I'd drop her an email and ask why she had it priced so high and did she know what it was worth.
Her response was that she had bought it along with several other guns in a group and had to sell it for $650 or take a loss. I gave her a standing offer of $475 and wished her good luck in selling it. :D |
Thanks for confirming my suspicions.
I thought she was a "dummy" for not taking the high bid, which was greater than reasonable. |
