Never have seen this done before
 

This is a Fabrique Nationale Belgium made 9mm High Power pistol on the Browning patent. It has a faint Waffen stamp on the left side above the trigger. At some point fairly recently, someone had a professional Realtree camo job put on it, which didn't help the collector value. The writing on the slide is faint because of the camo, and the serial number on the frame and the barrel do not match. SN on frame is faint, but appears to be 4087xx. I have fired about 50 rounds through this pistol, and it is a very tight gun, with no rattle. It shot well, and accurately, with no jams. Bore is good and bright, and the original grips are very good with no cracks. Comes with one Standard Hi-Cap magazine. It appears to have very little wear for it's age, and I can find no dings, scratches, or other abusive marks on it. This is an old gun, but has not been abused.

Incredible!, I saw a demostration on how they do the coating on TV. With a tank and a film floating on the surface. Then they dip and it adheres. I think. I wouldn't have done it to a HP though. The spinning gun rack at wallmart has shotguns with the coating. Out of curiosity I wonder how tough this treatment is.

Anything you can put ON a gun can be taken off again... it all depends on how much trouble you want to go through... This stuff would probably succumb to paint remover...

Well, at least it does not have matching serial numbers. So there was not much collector's value before it was worked on.

The owner who did this realized he had a non-collectible shooter, so what he did was just fine. It wouldn't have mattered if he painted it with polka dots. Anything goes with this puppy.
