That gun has more numbers than the State lottery!:roflmao: This is a case of out and out deceit by the seller. Stating that the gun is original and never been overhauled!

The photos show a receiver with 1917 on the left side and another photo shows 1936 on the top of the receiver.
Two different guns?

In spite of the description given by the seller, the seller did post pictures which give a clear impression of the pistol.

The way they mix master parts and remodel Lugers I'd not be too surprised to see 1917 on the side of the receiver and 1936 on the top.

It's the rare transistional model when DWM made the parts and Mauser finished them.

Actually his discription is correct as far as "all original parts". They do look like original Luger parts. And all assembled on the same gun. And it has'nt been overhauled. At least not since all of the parts were assembled.

It's all in the perspective. Kind of like when the guy walked on water. The next day the headlines read "Local man can't swim".

Tom, the 1917 on the left would be a serial number, it just so happens that it "looks" like a date.
