Any emails from Me or GT in the next few days, dont open if you see some wierd attachement. I sent him an email asking for his address and contact info, got my original message and a blank reply with the file Me_nude.AVI.pif file attached! I deleted the whole email without opening! Seriously folks, watch out for this! Ted Green

I also got a searchURL.scr attachement from GT the other day and didnt open it either. Ted

This would be an excellent time to update your anti-virus definitions

Just sent GT and alert and got a file attachement New_Napster_Site.DOC.scr as a reply! GT's system is compromised I fear! Ted

If anyone has GT's Phone number call him and tell him NOW
 

to take his system off line until the virus has been eliminated. Delete all email from GT until this problem is solved.


Unfortunately, all he has listed under links and resources is his email address...


Ted, surely Ralph Shattuck would have his phone number???

My computer has been a bad dog for several days now! How do I correct this problem? till...later...G.T. (I have norton anti-virus but??

did you last update your virus definition file?

GT may have the addresses for all forum members in his address book and it could end up affecting all PC users on the forum.


I will work with him to clean up his machine when he calls me. In the meantime, this may be the only channel we have to talk to him until the phone numbers get passed around...

I too received two emails from GT yesterday containing the attchment YOU_ARE_FAT.TXT.pif, and I couldn't open the because I'm on a Mac...thank God I'm on a Mac, cuz they just died on arrival.

Ted, it is not only fortunate (and also honorable) that you did not have the interest to open an AVI clip of G.T, nude. In this day and age one cannot afford not to have some serious virus protection (and updated regularly or it isn't any good).
