Safe/Loaded question
 

I recently picked up a fairly nice Safe/Loaded Commercial, and I have a question about the "SAFE" marking. Were these originally filled with paint like the "GESICHERT" stamps? The mark on my Luger is quite shallow, and there is no evidence of its having been filled.

I have S.N. 91268 Safe/Loaded marked commercial and the safe marking is filled with white paint.

Thanks for the info and the picture, pretty much clears that up. Since you are here, for my database, does your gun have a proof, if it is c/N is it upright or lazy; also is it GERMANY export marked? and what caliber is it? Thanks much in advance.

This one has the standing C/N on the left reciever and the GERMANY export stamp on the front frame below the serinal number. I wish I could figure out how to post multiple photos on a single post like can be done on Mr. Still's site. I am not the brightest bulb in the bunch when it comes to computers.

Thanks for the additional info. If you use the "add reply" button to respond to a post you should be able to include up to eight pictures in a post. You will need to upload them in the "Upload Photos" section in the home page www.lugerforum.com, then copy the location with the add photo utility.
