Test Eagle #6312
All,
For your entertainment, U.S. Army Test Eagle #6312 The strawing has certainly been "touched up" but she is otherwise a 104 year old beauty. My photographic skill leaves a great deal to be desired, but I've looked at this under 3X magnification and halogen light (The O.R. lights and my operating loupes, I'm a vascular surgeon) and the bluing passes my "mag light test". It has flaming bomb proofs in the frame well and on the pommel of the magazine. http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y17...illips/top.jpg Nice deep Eagle http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y17.../takedownR.jpg End of takedown http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y17.../sideplate.jpg http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y17...ips/serial.jpg http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y17...lips/right.jpg http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y17...llips/left.jpg http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y17...illips/mag.jpg Flaming bomb on magazine http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y17.../framewell.jpg Frame well with flaming bomb, photo leaves a little to the imagination. http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y17...llips/rear.jpg Tim |

VERY VERY Nice Tim! Did you check to see if this gun appears on Ron Wood's Test Eagle list already? or is it a totally new find?
|
James,
I'd guesstimate it to be about 90%... That is so subjective. The grip straps are turning a nice brownish blue, still can see some blue, but aging gracefully. Bore is perfect, looks new. John, This one has been known since (at least) Resse and is on Ron's list already. Tim |
