Take a look at auction arms item # 6651991. What are your thoughts on this early "presentation Luger"?

I would guess this one should have "GL" on the back of the rear toggle...I would ask for photos, first...

It does not have a "GL" marked toggle. It has been re-barreled (has a "shield" DWM barrel inspection stamp) and reworked (Notice the Crown/N proof) for commercial sale.

so what your saying is the seller should probably clarify what they have for sale fo such a piece. I dont believe in 'buyer beware' as a valid argument for items like this. They really should come out and say it has been modified from original if in fact it has. my 2 cents. and thats all i have left after the Rock Island Auction.
