Early 1904 # 36...

Seems to have the correct '04 attributes...90 degree checkering on the toggles, fat barrel profile, toggle lock, short ears on the extractor... Not sure if the finish is original or not, though...??? And I thought one of the Crown/M markings should be on the back of the frame and not on the left side of the receiver...looks like this one has 3 on the left side...not two... |
I think this was/is the one Albert Beliard had photos of on his web site and I recall he wrote on the LF that h had personally inspected this one a couple of years ago.

It is interesting that this gun has the same arsenal modifications as mine. I suspect it was re-finished at the time the modifications were applied.
