Someone got taken ?

This finally sold on Gunbroker

http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/Vie...?Item=30228975

The buyer looks to be new (no feedbacks). A nasty & expensive lesson when starting to collect.

They may have been taken, but not horribly? If you say the whole setup is repro, the shooter arty is worth, what $1000 to $1200?

The rig is worth another $600 or more, individually sold on e-bay would bring more than that I think?

If actually "restored", it is worth more to some folks, then just a shooter value?

Well, I hope the buyer recognizes it for it's shooter value. I was put off by the crude renumbering of the four digit serial # on the frame, slide and stock - along with the description, it says it's something it obviously isn't. I've seen restorations and then I've seen restorations - this one looked, well... you judge for yourself.

no Bob, you are right about the non-collecting part of it!

Then again, if he could find a deal on a servicable drum magazine - think of the fun he could have at the range & not worry about destroying the value by breaking something.

I keep hearing references to "the range", is this where the "deer and the antelope play"?. Here in Virginia we do all our shootin' in the back yard except on holidays when we shoot in the front yard.

with the elevated sights on an arty, you could need a pretty big yard.......

:p My "backyard" is 200 acres, rekon that's big enough???:roflmao:
