Rock Island...
Lugers and other goodies coming up for auction at Rock Island at the end of April :
Looks like a red M1929 Swiss Bern with 9 mm barrel and factory label is in the bunch... http://forum.lugerforum.com/lfupload/rock_island.jpg http://forum.lugerforum.com/lfupload...nd_1_copy1.jpg http://forum.lugerforum.com/lfupload/rock_island_2.jpg |
What a great all time wish list! Now one just needs to win a lottery or two to bring these wishes to fruition.

Better win at least two lotteries, there is probably over $125K in that first photo alone. Do they list serial numbers? I would like to know the numbers of that 03/04 Navy and the Cartridge Counter.

Really Impressive!!
Thank you Pete. Ciao  |
Sorry, Ron...no write ups or serial numbers yet on their web site...it should appear in a week or two...

Hi Ron,
Serial number of the cartridge counter is 22449. Serial number of the 04 navy is 36. |
The Cartidge Counter was sold at auction in 1999 by Little John's auction service. I believe it went for either $26,000 or $28,000 plus a 10% buyers premium. John Gangel said that this was the first pistol he ever sold back in 1968. I was fortunate enough to hold and examine it. It's not everyday one of these comes along.
At the time I thought the price was a little high. It will be interesting to see how high it goes this time. Tracy |
