Artillery Luger Stock
I have a mismatched, reblued, rebuilt artillery that I like to shoot but my original wood stock from another pistol with all the leather attached is not a good choice to go to the range with.
Here are the choices that I have, what would some of you recommend? Numrich Stock with latch $125.00 CMR International Latch only $60.00 ODIN Repro $295.00 Orig. Imperial Proof no leather $450.00 Thanks guys! |
Mark, if there is no leather attached just shoot with the original or buy the cheapest reprodiction, it will have to be fitted to your pistol.

Tommy, that's the first time I catch you speaking with a Czech accent.
|
Tom,
How tough a job is it to fit? Do you think the Numrich stock is good quality or just junk? Mark |
Rick,
Thanks for the "heads up" about how much fitting is required. Mark |
Mark, I bought the Numrich stock last year, and I think it would qualify as "junk" to most folks. I consider it to be passible junk (for now), and I may choose to later upgrade. It did require some fitting, but after that it slipped on the gun well enough. It's better than no stock.

MarkC,
I have a repro wood stock, NO Iron,..you can have it for the price of postage. The wood needs a little cleaning up, but it should work for you.Need your address if interested. Best regards, Daniel |
Daniel,
I sent you a private email, thanks! Mark |
I wish to thank all of you guys for advice about stock irons. I just received the CMR International latch from England today and it fits my Artillery "shooter" perfectly, I was shocked!
I especially want to thank Daniel for the stock he sent me. It did require some fitting for the Iron to seat properly on the stock but the entire job took about 30 minutes. Can't wait to shoot her on Saturday! The stock and iron are a real tight fit on the gun, we will see what happens under recoil. Thanks again guys! Mark P.S. A word of caution about the CMR web site, it is not secure. I called the company in England to give them credit card information, the shipping was $15.00 on a $60.00 item!!!!! |
I do have a few of the CMR new stock lugs here in the states, that I picked up in trade from them, @$70 post paid in USA. Tom Heller POB398 St.Charles, MO. 63302.
