Grip repair?

I was thinking, with plastic is it feasible to repair cracks or chips in old grips? I was thinking of Walther PPK or P.38 grips.

Dan,

Yes, depending on the type and extent of the damage. There are several methods of repairing plastic grips, but the repair will always be visible to some degree.

Something like this. Perfect pistol except for this chip.

There must be some kind of resin repair kit that will fix that.

I have repaired damaged grips with Brownells Steel Bed compound. Mix up a small amount glop it on and let it stiffen. Shape as desired then sand to fit. It bonds well and after it cures you can paint the area.
