Borchardt Manual

I have been offered a english version manual for the Borchardt pistol.
As such items are very rare here down under I would ask if anyone can help me with things to look out for, ie: staple or cotten binding, colour of cover....in fact anything. Also what sort of money would one be expected to pay for such an item.
Kind wishes,
Murray:)

Hello Murray,

I am providing a link to a Loewe Borchardt manual which is rarer than the DWM Borchardt manual. These manuals, depending on condition, can fetch in excess of $1,200. I believe that a Borchardt manual should have staples on the spine, and the one in the image has been reinforced.

Please try to provide some images of the manual which is being offered to you.

Good luck,
Albert

Thank you Albert,
I have not seen the Item yet as it is on the mainland and I an not due to go until next week.
He also has an original wooden holdopen with brass cleaning kit.
I have no idea what that would be worth on its own.
I will keep you informed.
Many thanks once again.

Murray,

Check out Chuck Whittakers site at:

Land of Borchardt (Just click on the blue text)

He has examples of Loewe an DWM Borchardt manuals including a Spanish language copy...and you can even turn the pages and check each one out! The photos are detailed enough that you can see how they are constructed/stapled and they are authentic original manuals.
