P38/PP/PPK Forums...?

Have been down for a few days...at least from my PC...

Anyone else having the same problems...???

i8tokyo 01-30-2005 12:40 AM

Hi Pete, I can't get in either.

John D. 01-30-2005 10:33 AM

Hmmm...??? Nothing has changed on those forums..?? Are you linking to the site - or directly to the forums? Also - do you get an "error" (like can not be found) - or a "time out" on your browser?

Let me know - OK - and I'll try to figure it out from my end..!

I've been getting a lot of "page not found" displays on the P.38 forum.. Al

John D. 01-30-2005 11:28 AM

Hi Al..!

If you just tried - I took that server off-line to try to optimize some of the settings.. I just put it back - so give it a try again and let me know if it pops up, OK?

Best to you!

John

John D. 01-30-2005 11:49 AM

Yes - I know..!!! Every time I think I changed something - I have to take it off-line - which is WHEN you folks choose to "try it" - Now - CUT THAT OUT!! :D

OK - it's back...

Heh!!!

Okie-Dokie then!!!

Lugerdoc 01-30-2005 06:35 PM

John D, I thought that it was just my funky WebTv, but it will access 3 or 4 threads normally and then it take forever for anymore to come up; or in some case my machine rejects topic because it took too long. Perhaps this is the same problem that others are hoving on your Walther Forums. Tom

Hi John D.,

This is what I get after I attempt to load either one of the pages :

"The page cannot be displayed"

I got the same thing when traveling this week and using a PC on the job site or in the hotels...

These are the links I try to use :

http://www.p38forum.com

http://www.p38forum.com/scripts/pp-k/pp-k.pl

I even tried to use the links in the LF "Links & rResources" section, and get the same negative results...

Regards,

Pete...:typing:

Or - you can try the updated Beta PPK Forum:
http://forum.lugerforum.com/cgi-bin/pp-k/pp-k.pl

Or - ready? - you can try the new BETA LugerForum Gallery which is built on a relational database:
http://forum.lugerforum.com/gallery2/

All of these are WORKS IN PROGRESS!!! Please do NOT ask for support on these until I finish, OK???

Thanks!!!

Yep - that's "Beta,Max".... What's a VHS? Is that like a VCR - which mine is "broke" anyway - so it's a DCR ("Dead Compact Recorder")???

HEEEEY send me a contract dude! :D

John D. 02-02-2005 12:06 AM

OK-doaky.. Been sort'a buzy - can you tell??? And - all my "free time" isn't what it was..

In fact, I have a .45 Luger sitting next to me that I STILL HAVE to post pictures and do a write up (for a LugerForum Member)!

(Yes - it really is a .45 Luger that belongs to a new Member of this Forum...)

Best to ya!

John D.

Edward Tinker 02-02-2005 12:11 AM

coool! you know those 45 luggers are the prize of a lifetime! Bettern those anchor luggers :D

John D. 02-02-2005 12:15 AM

Yea - but they don't shoot as well as those Anker Loogers. This one shoots a little high and to the right. A squirrel was LOL as I zinged about 10 shots right over his head (this .45 makes a dandy camp gun - just need to aim low and to the left.... ;) )

Should I try another bulk pack of White Box .45 - or try some of that new fangled .45 GAP junk??? ;)

Heh!
