Weapons training 1941

Hi,

These are some original photographs I acquired this week. Both have a date written on the back and date from march, 1941.

I think you'll enjoy them.

You are right, I do enjoy them! Except for the funny clothes, it looks like a table at a gun show! Thanks for sharing.

Wonerful photo's Ron got to wonder maybe we own one of those.

I know I don't own one...They are from WWII and I don't collect "reproduction" pieces.:evilgrin:

Hi,

Some things still amaze me. The original photographs are only 1.5 - 2 inches long. But when you scan them (Did them on 300DPI, the close-up on 600) it's amazing how much details show up.

Their clothes do look oldfashioned and I personally wouldn't have put a 1941 date on the pictures. The writing on the back is in 'Sutterlin', the old-style German handwriting, so I guess I can trust the dating.

Very nice pictures. Makes me want to stick an arm into the picture and grab a few :D Look at those P08s K98k's all lined up......mmmmm

drbuster 11-26-2005 10:34 AM

Looks like all the P.08's had blued safety levers, triggers and take down levers and NO extrruded magazine bottoms. That would put them from late 1937 to 1940 in dates of manufacture. That would fit the picture date.

Gerben, You have to admit the Germans were methodical! Everything lined up perfectly...Great photo's! Jerry Burney

* Thanks Vlim for the wonderful pictures.
* Anyone notice the middle picture shows 9 Lugers and 10 K98k's on the table?? Had someone had already exercised a "five finger" discount for "demo" purposes ?!!?
* Hmmmm !!
Respectfully,
Bob
