Rare Luger stock
I just found this one on EBay, I have never heard of one of them before and have reservations about this one. If it is actually designed to include a 'hiding place" for spoils of war how would it work when the butt plate appears to be 'rivited ' to the wood rather than screws that could be removed to gain access to the hiding place. I also was not aware that the soldiers were watched so closely that they couldn't just put something small enough to fit in the hiding place in their pocket. Interesting piece though, I wonder if he has the x-rays to prove that it is hollow inside?

This seller is having head space problems. And, oh, BTW, that is one hideous stock. Artillery stock my Great Aunt Fannie!

Folks...
Becareful with this seller...everything he offers for sale seems to be a repro but not specifically called such. He was the vendor I bought the fair quality navy zig-zag rod from. I was willing to pay $ 60 just to see the quality of the piece for myself and to have a 6" rod for my 1970" 6" Mauser luger rig... Regards, Pete...:typing: |
You will note that this fellow does not seem to use English as his mother tongue. I would suggest that he may be one of our friends from the other side of the Carpathians. Perhaps he is in a UN witness protection program and hiding down under. Stay away from him.

seems to be a "high quality" checkering? How can people spend that money for such things?
