Tempting Navy...
|
A most tempting navy pete. Srue would love to own it.
|
I notice that Bob Simpson has a good supply of quality Navy Lugers now. I wonder if he bought someone's Navy collection.
|
That is indeed a nice one. I ran across a 1906 with matching stock, holster and mags (magazine pouch has 2 more) fine condition. Of course its a wee bit higher than the one Simpson has, about double-12K for a complete rig. Seem a little strong but there is little to compare it with.

Well, we know who owns this one now! And it could not have found a better home. See the following thread on this forum

I noticed that Joe Salter has a 1904 #6706 with WW unit markings for sale on his site.

Joe has a nice rig, but the import marks on the barrel just detract from it, my opinion.

I am still crying in my beer that FGS had a 1906 navy with "WD" markings on the strap. I would have gone nice with that navy stock that I bought a while back that also had "WD" markings on the washer. But it was sold before Ken could answer any of my questions.

Good morning Big Norm......would you consider selling the stock.

Leo,
No, I don't think so. I have quite a few artilleries as well as navies, but this is the only navy stock that I have. Its a good one too. Numbered WD231 with a serial number of 6483. Not many Werft Danzig articles around and that was why I was interested in the above mentioned Navy Luger. I have to have a long talk with Ken and Doug of FGS. They have sold many guns that I was interested in just as I was going to buy. Its beginning to look like I am a magnet for buyers who buy Lugers off of them. I should get a cut of the profits. Hi Norm.........If you ever decide to sell the stock I would be very interested.
At least I know where it is. As for Navy Lugers this is number 21 for me. I have sold off all of my other pieces and have concentrated on the elusive Navy Luger |
Luger11,
excluding THE 1904, which I will never buy because of the numerous fakes, I am only missing the 1906 second issue for my set of navies. I have 12 navies. Of my first line collection, only my 1916 is missing the matching or correct magazine. This 1916 is so beautiful that I don't care that it does not have the matching mag. But if you come across navy mag #4602, let me know. Big Norm |
Outstanding numbers.....surley I will do whatever I can to assist you in your serch for #4602.
